A major fire that tore through a derelict pub in Leeds on Friday is understood have been started deliberately, police have confirmed.
West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have recorded an offence of arson after the empty Sun Hotel was torched last night. Firefighters raced to the scene in Church Street, Hunslet, at around 9.30pm and police shut the road as crews tackled the flames.
The fire was quickly brought under control but has caused huge damage to the former pub.
