Leeds NHS worker's 'built up ear wax' was actually brain tumour at 25

A NHS worker is taking on an epic challenge after his built up ear wax turned out to be a brain tumour.

Nick Marston, 50, who is an Associate Practitioner in Leeds, received his diagnosis at Leeds General Infirmary age 25. Nick went to his GP after he found his "deafness increasing".

"I thought the worst outcome was that I would go deaf in my left ear", he said. But his check up quickly turned into a tumour diagnosis and facing the prospect of surgery.
