Leeds Met Office weather forecast for Thursday with possible Thunderstorms

More rain is expected for Leeds today as temperatures remain around the same.

According to the Met Office, the day may start off with rain as it is predicted at around 7am. The temperature at this time will be 15 degrees and will increase over the morning to 18 degrees at midday.

Midday is also when the sun may emerge for brief spells, although there is also a chance of rain between 12pm and 5pm. The Met Office also predicts thunder and lightning at 2pm.

The temperature will peak at 1pm at 19 degrees Celsius and will remain at this level until 6pm, when it will decrease to 18 degrees before continuing to drop overnight. It should also stop raining at this point although sporadic showers are expected as the evening continues.

There will be similar temperatures to last night as Thursday heads into Friday. Temperatures of 17 to 15 degrees are expected.

The Met Office said: "Rather cloudy, with limited brighter spells, but also occasional heavy showers. Thicker cloud spreading inland from the North Sea through the afternoon, with more persistent heavy rain possible, perhaps thundery. Maximum temperature 22 °C."
