Heavy rain and thunderstorms are sweeping their way across Leeds today with residents warned to expect some localised flooding.
A yellow warning issued by the Met Office covers the entirety of the area and will stay in place until midnight tonight. Some parts of the city have already experienced heavy downpours and forecasters say there is more rain on the way.
The Met Office said that flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly as up to 50mm of rain is expected to fall in a short space of time. They have also warned of lightning strikes, hail and strong winds as the storms sweep across the region.
