A Leeds GP surgery locked its doors after a 'violent, abusive' incident occurred against its staff.
Harehills Corner Medical Practice, on Roundhay Road, was subjected to criminal damage on Tuesday, February 21, at about 5.45pm. The surgery responded by locking its doors the following day, only admitting those who called ahead or knocked on the door, and put out a warning to patients.
NHS in Leeds released the following statement on social media, it said: "Due to a serious incident at Harehills Corner Medical Practice, the doors to the surgery are locked.

"If you have an appointment or need to gain access please call 0113 221 7217 or knock at the door until the situation is resolved. Violence and abuse against practice staff will not be tolerated."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "This was reported to have happened between 5.43pm and 5.50pm on Tuesday.
"We attended and recorded an offence of criminal damage. Enquiries are ongoing."
