Slowthai has been removed from the Leeds Festival 2023 line after the artist was charged with rape.
The Mercury-nominated rapper, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, was charged with two counts of rape earlier this week. He appeared at Oxfordshire Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 16.
The 28-year-old appeared by video link and only spoke to confirm his birth name, date of birth and address. The alleged offences date back to September 2021.

As reported by the NME, the performer has now been removed from the line up for Leeds Festival and sister event Reading Festival.
Slowthai was scheduled to perform on the closing day of Leeds Festival at Bramham Park. He’s also been removed from the Glastonbury 2023 line up.
There has been no official acknowledgement of a line up change from any of the events. Although the act has been removed from their posters and publicity.
