Green Room has launched a new winter garden which aims to capture the spirit of a Christmas market beer hall.
The team at the Leeds city centre venue, which opened earlier this year, is aiming to fill the gap left by the absence of the Leeds German market by turning Green Room’s roof terrace into a cosy winter spot.
You will find fire pits, heat lamps covering the rooftop and Yorkshire wool blankets. Guests will also be able to enjoy a limited-edition German-style pilsner, brewed exclusively by Kirkstall Brewery and served in traditional steins.

Director Will Habergham said: “We couldn’t have really asked for a better summer 2022 - not only did we get to enjoy our fair share of sunshine, but the people of Leeds really took to our concept, and we’ve had an exceptionally busy few month.
“I’m confident our regulars will love what we’ve done with the Winter Garden, especially those that have been pining for the return of the beloved Christmas markets. Our terrace has been transformed into a cosy space that’s perfect for enjoying a few steins, a Bratwurst and some great entertainment with friends and colleagues.
“We’ll also continue to serve up favourites from our Gron menu and have even added some incredible meat-based dishes to ensure nobody is left out. Summer will be a tough act to follow, but I’ve got a feeling that we’re going to have a winter to remember.”
The food selection, at the venue based in Wellington Street, includes a bratwurst Vegan-Dog featuring a Moving Mountains sausage and is topped with sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup, crispy onions, and pickles, whilst the currywurst Vegan-Dog is served with fries, pickled cabbage, coriander, onions and chilli.
The barbecue vegan quarter pounder includes a juicy Moving Mountains patty and comes topped with gooey vegan mozzarella.
Green Room offers DJ sets and the venue is also home to two luxury apartments, which are ideal for midweek stays and weekend breaks. You can find out more by visiting their website.
