The "relentless" rise in food costs and expenses has forced a Leeds café to close for good.
Café 164 in Otley Road said it was "impossible" for them to trade as a sustainable business with the rising costs. The Headingley café and bakery bid farewell to its customers via social media.

"We have felt welcomed by all the local businesses and embraced by such a vibrant and friendly community.
"The ongoing, unrelentless [sic] increase in food costs and overall rising expenses have unfortunately made it impossible for us to continue to trade as a sustainable business. And so we respectfully and quietly bow out.
"Wishing you all the very best, 164 headingley."
Customers and other local businesses have been devastated by the announcement.
North Star Roast posted: "We love you and all you created. We have loved working alongside you and the team who have always been such an amazing reflection of truly aspirational leadership. Heavy is the head eh?! Enjoy those lighter days ahead, you really do deserve them. Love always xxx"
And Rabbit Hole Coffee said: "Just heartbreaking, you guys will be missed in the Leeds coffee and food scene. Wishing the team all the best on their next adventures."
Sean Bates posted: "A bit emotional to read this but please don’t see this as a failure. You’ve succeeded in creating a wonderfully warm and inclusive business and gave me and my colleagues such an inviting, friendly and tasty place to go for lunch. Those tough days could always be improved by a wee salted caramel brownie! Thank you for giving so much to our Leeds community."
