Leeds Bradford Airport flights diverted after 'water leak' as airport bosses issue apology

Planes were diverted from Leeds Bradford Airport last night after a water leak at the terminal.

Some flights were diverted to Doncaster Sheffield Airport or to Birmingham, with many having to take taxis and coaches from these airports to get home. One flight from Las Palmas in Spain was supposed to land at Leeds Bradford but was forced to divert.

According to Leeds Bradford Airport, the water leak temporarily impacted UK Border Force operations which meant no flights could land. They also advise anyone who was affected to contact their airline for help.
