SanMiguelMalaga tweeted: “Start your holiday in the worst possible way at @LBIAirport. Toytown will have a better airport.”

Holidaymakers have been advised to arrive three hours before the flight as they were anticipating longer queues for the security process.

In a bid to tackle the problems, Leeds Bradford Airport is still recruiting for roles such as customer service and security.
