Lee Johnson savours Hibs win in Dingwall but puts down 'one frustration' after 'great football'

Hibs boss Lee Johnson says his side could have had even more goals in their 2-0 win away at Ross County.

The Hibees got ahead in the match through a Ryan Porteous effort and it was two in the second period through Martin Boyle's winner. It makes it three Premiership wins on the spin for Johnson ahead of hosting Motherwell next weekend but while overall he was delighted with what Hibs produced in Dingwall, he reckons they could have been more clinical in the final third.

He said on Hibs TV: “I think the boys performed really well. First half we had a lot of control but didn’t quite have the end product we wanted at times. We had to be strong and solid behind the ball and we were, that enabled us in the second half to open up a bit more and be expansive. There was some great football, but the goal came from something that was quite route one from the long throw.

"We were aggressive for that and got the ball in the mix. My one frustration is that I thought we could score more goals today, but I’m really pleased because it was a professional performance.

“We didn’t give anything away in the last 30 minutes, which was key. The solidarity of the boys, consistency, and ability to keep the ball was really good.

"We want the players to build a rapport with the fans and vice versa. Wins and good performances will only aid that. It really was a team performance."
