Aiden McGeady has signed a one year deal with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian. The former Black Cats talisman will be reunited with ex-Sunderland boss Lee Johnson at Easter Road.
The pair struck up quite the relationship with Johnson bringing McGeady back from the cold to spearhead the Wearsiders' play-off push. He was named in the 2020/21 EFL League One Team of the Season, scoring six goals and notching 17 assists from out wide.
Speaking to hibernianfc.co.uk, Johnson said: “We are delighted to bring Aiden to Hibernian FC. He will bring skill, experience and gravitas to our team. Aiden is a top player, has had a fantastic career to date and we aim to extend and accentuate his abilities within the blend of our new-look squad.
