Lee Johnson insists Hibs get Celtic advice after demolition as he urges flops to make 'tell me what to do' plea

Disappointed Lee Johnson has claimed Hibs players should be asking for a run through from Celtic players of their daily life to reach that standard.

It was a bruising visit to Glasgow for the Leith outfit as Ange Postecoglou's men steamrollered Hibs in a 6-1 mauling at Celtic Park, with Ellie Youan strike proving to be little consolation for the travelling support as James Forrest netted a hat-trick, while Giorgios Giakoumakis scored a double before Daizen Maeda rounded off the scoring late on. Johnson didn't hold back on his flops at the full-time whistle insisting he needed to see a massive upturn in standards.

However, he reckons some behind the scenes talks with the Celtic dressing room could be the key to unlocked Hibs potential this season. Johnson singled out Kyogo Furuhuashi, Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate for praise during his post-match debrief due to their high fitness levels shown in the comprehensive victory for the Scottish champions.

Speaking to the broadcast media at Celtic Park he said: "I think the lessons that you can take from it are big. The detail, and the standards.

"I look at the Japanese players and I think 'wow, you are so dynamic, your squat, you are powerful and athletic'. If I was a player I would be knocking on their door asking for a shirt, saying please tell me what you do.

"Please tell me what you do every day. How do you wake up, what do you eat for breakfast? How do you stretch, do you go to the gym for three hours and what weights do you do?

"Do you know what I mean? Because that is the standard effectively, that the boys want to be at and need to be at."
