LED light facials launch at top Ayrshire spa as part of new beauty treatments

A top Ayrshire spa and leisure destination is launching a new range of beauty services including the light salon LED facials.

Owned and operated by the Irvine-based Simpson family, SimpsInns is the driving force behind Si! Spa at Irvine’s Gailes Hotel, which is one of the first venues in Scotland to offer this innovative new treatment.

The light salon facials use precision wavelengths of red and near-infrared LED light which are clinically proven to rejuvenate the skin at a cellular level. The Light Salon has collaborated with natural skincare specialists ESPA to offer this new range of facial treatments.

Si! Spa manager Alyson Shaw said: "The light salon are the best in the industry in terms of LED and we’re looking forward to incorporating it into our beauty room as part of our ESPA brand of treatments.

“The treatment has a firming effect, boosting hydration and brightening the skin. It has a beneficial impact on many skin conditions including pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and dehydration. It also helps with acne scarring and skin balancing. It’s gentle, but powerful.

“The light salon treatments are non-invasive so there’s no trauma to the skin. If clients want to use thermal facilities afterwards they can, there’s no downtime like there is with dermabrasion or chemical peels.

"LED light boosts the cell turnover: the collagen, elastin and hyaluronic. A compromised skin cell is 200 per cent more effective once the skin has been treated by light, and the skin is more permeable and responsive to skincare products that are applied pre and post LED treatments. It’s like supercharging a normal facial.”

The Light Salon LED facials are part of a new range of beauty treatments called Finishing Touches at Si! Spa. Guests can choose from a 25-minute or 55-minute treatment or book a course of treatments over a longer period.

Also on offer across the new finishing touches menu is a full range of waxing services, brow lamination, and shellac rejuvenating manicures and pedicures. All treatments are available as standalone services, or can be booked in addition to a spa day.
