There are three days remaining before the Los Angeles Lakers begin the 2023-24 regular season, and they managed to get through the preseason without any major injuries.
Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jalen Hood-Schifino are dealing with relatively minor ailments, but other than that, many of the Lakers’ players looked good, if not great, during the exhibition season.
LeBron James played in just three of their six preseason games as a concession to the immense wear and tear he accumulated during his previous 20 NBA seasons. He suffered a right foot injury late last season that hampered him the rest of the way, and a big question coming into this season has been the status of his health.
But James says he still feels good after the end of the preseason (h/t Lakers Daily).
LeBron said he feels good physically after playing limited preseason minutes.
“Worked extremely hard to get (fully healthy). I was able to stick with the plan. I felt pretty good in that last (preseason game) and hopefully I can keep building that momentum heading into Tuesday.”

Tuesday will be a showdown on the road between the Lakers and the defending world champion Denver Nuggets, the team that swept them out of last spring’s Western Conference Finals.
