LeBron James continues to laugh in the face of Father Time. He’s putting up incredible numbers in his 21st season at age 38, and it looks like he will not be showing signs of decline anytime soon.
He helped the Los Angeles Lakers win their third game in a row and claim their sixth victory in their last seven games with a 131-99 romp over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. In 24 minutes, he scored a very efficient 17 points to go along with nine assists and seven rebounds, and he got to rest for the entire fourth quarter after playing heavy minutes for much of this season so far.
The head coach of the rebuilding Jazz is Will Hardy, who at age 35 is the second-youngest head coach in the NBA behind Joe Mazzulla, who is only about five months younger than him. It is a measure of James’ longevity that he is older than both Hardy and Mazzulla, as well as Mark Daigneault, the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
When told he was older than Hardy, James couldn’t help but laugh.
LeBron was speechless when he found out he was older than the Utah head coach. 🤣 pic.twitter.com/8kHerHoEQB

The way James has been playing lately, one almost has to wonder if he has mastered the art of time travel.
