Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had the opportunity to watch one of his favorite athletes, LeBron James, play for the first time on Monday when the Lakers came to Philadelphia to face the 76ers.
Hurts, coming off a huge 37–34 win over the Bills on Sunday, sat in the front row with his dad as he watched James in action. He got to meet the four-time NBA champion at the game, too.
The young quarterback spoke about how much the experience meant to him and his dad during his Wednesday press conference.
“Just thought it’d be cool to go see him, and obviously I had the opportunity to meet him,” Hurts said. “I wanted him to shake my dad’s hand, too. That’s a guy that my dad has watched, being an older guy, watched him grow into the monumental figure he is now. ... It’s just all love and respect for him.”
James later reposted the video and shared a message back to Hurts.
“And it’s all love and respect right back to you Young [King]!!!” James responded on X, formerly known as Twitter.
And it’s all love and respect right back to you Young 🤴🏾!!! 🙏🏾🫡🤎 @JalenHurts https://t.co/Yz6DwHOfWD

Maybe fans will see James show up to an Eagles game soon to support Hurts.
