In its first two exhibition games ahead of the Summer Olympics in Paris, Team USA basketball posted wins but looked a little vulnerable at times. In its third exhibition contest on Wednesday, it started to look like the squad many have felt it has the potential to become.
It faced Serbia, one of the better teams other than itself that will be in the upcoming Olympics, and it was simply dominant, as it cruised to a 105-79 victory.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors led the way with 24 points, but the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and Anthony Davis also chipped in. James scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while Davis had seven points, six rebounds and six blocked shots off the bench.

Davis not only rejected shots but also did a nice defensive job on Nikola Jokić. The Denver Nuggets center who has often torched Davis during the NBA playoffs the last two seasons went just 6-of-19 from the field on Wednesday.
Team USA has two more tune-up games before the Olympics start less than two weeks from now. Its first official game there will be against Serbia.
