On Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers took the court against the Brooklyn Nets just two days after their heartbreaking and controversial loss to the Boston Celtics.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis were ruled out the day before due to left foot soreness and recovery from a right foot stress injury, respectively. Without them, the Lakers lacked firepower, and they scored just 104 points as the Nets defeated them easily.
Los Angeles will take on the New York Knicks on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden, and according to reports, James will play. It makes sense, as he historically loves to put on a show at “the world’s most famous arena.”
LeBron James will play tonight against the New York Knicks, sources told ESPN. It will be his first game at Madison Square Garden since January 2020.

In addition, Davis is also expected to return. Even better, there appears to be a good chance he will be back in the starting lineup.
Darvin Ham expects both Anthony Davis and LeBron James to be available to play, though they’ll go through their warmups before final determination.
It also looks like Davis will be able to push his minutes limit up enough for him to return to the starting lineup.

He has played two games since suffering his stress injury on Dec. 16, and in both contests, he came off the bench as part of his minutes restriction.
Unfortunately, guard Patrick Beverley will be out.
Injury designations for tonight at the Knicks:
Davis: probable (foot)
LeBron: questionable (left ankle soreness)
Beverley: out (left knee soreness)— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) January 31, 2023
Beverley hounding defense will be missed against Jalen Brunson, who is having a fine season and is an All-Star candidate.
