Lebanon has stated that it has received assurances from third countries regarding Israel's response to the recent deadly strike on a town in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib mentioned to Lebanese media that both Israel's and Hezbollah's responses to the escalation will be limited.
Israeli officials have attributed the strike to Hezbollah and have declared their intention to retaliate, despite the Lebanese militant group denying any involvement.
When asked about the countries providing reassurances, the minister suggested that the US and France were among them. He stated, 'We received reassurances from countries concerned with the issue, and certainly the US and France are very concerned about the issue.'
The news agency has sought a response from the US State Department regarding this matter.
Earlier, the minister affirmed that Lebanon would not engage in a war but would support Hezbollah.
