LeAnn Rimes reschedules concerts in the US due to severe illness: ‘I am truly heartbroken’

LeAnn Rimes says she is “heartbroken” after having to postpone two concerts this week due to “severe illness”.

The singer and The Voice UK coach has had to rearrange two performances in the US, in Spokane and Seattle, to 31 May and 2 June respectively.

“Due to severe illness, I am unable to travel and perform this week,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram Story.

“I’m sorry to share that the upcoming shows in Spokane and Seattle will be rescheduled … also, good news as we will be seeing you very soon…

“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule and I am so very grateful for your kindness, and continued support as I recover.

“I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon. Love, LeAnn.”

The American singer confirmed all tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates, and those unable to attend can get a refund.

Rimes has scored four UK top 10 singles, including a number one with “Can’t Fight The Moonlight”, and has also had two top 10 albums in the UK.

She has won two Grammy Awards, both at the age of 14 for best new artist and best country female vocal performance, at the time making her the youngest artist to win a gong at the ceremony.

Rimes is married to American actor Eddie Cibrian, and is also known for songs such as “How Do I Live”, “Blue” and “Written In The Stars”, a collaboration with Sir Elton John.

Speaking to Us Weekly in October 2025, Rimes opened up about her health struggles, which have included anxiety, depression and psoriasis.

“I remember when I posted the picture of me with psoriasis all over me [in 2020], and it was such a moment of relief because I had been hiding that for so long,” she recalled.

“The same with my mental health and now with perimenopause. Every time I talk about it, I set myself — and someone else — free.”
