Leandro Trossard produced one of the finest performances of his career as he scored a hat-trick in Brighton's thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Seagulls stormed into a two-goal lead in Roberto De Zerbi's first game in charge, before Jurgen Klopp's men mounted a comeback. Roberto Firmino scored a brace to put Liverpool back on level terms, before an Adam Webster own-goal completed the turnaround.
However, the drama didn't end there as Trossard scored his first-ever Premier League hat-trick, all with his weaker left foot, to earn a share of the spoils in the North West. It was a result that kept Brighton in the top four, while Liverpool remained in 10th with just 10 points from their opening seven league games.
Trossard also became only the third player to score a Premier League hat-trick at Anfield after Peter Ndlovu and Andriy Arshavin, and the 11th to net a treble against the Reds since the division's introduction in 1992.
Ndlovu, who was the first African to grace the Premier League, stole the show as Coventry beat Liverpool 3-2. He wasn't a regular scorer but often turned up in the big games, like that one in March 1995 when the Zimbabwean became the first away player to score a treble at Anfield in 30 years.
Meanwhile, Arshavin didn’t really impress during his time with Arsenal, but he certainly did on that epic night at Anfield, when the Russian was in an inspired form and struck all four of his side's goals. He's still the only player to have scored a 'super hat-trick' on Liverpool’s ground, which is when a player scores four times.

But Trossard will remember the day he scored a treble at Anfield for the rest of his life, and what a hat-trick it was. His first was an excellent finish, as the Belgian spun past Trent Alexander-Arnold before lashing the ball into the bottom corner on three minutes.
The 27-year-old's second was another superb finish as he capped off a fine Brighton move. He managed to beat the offside trap before lashing the ball with his left foot into the corner despite the best efforts from Alisson, who got a hand on it.
Then Trossard capped off a fine performance with his third and yet another with his weaker left foot, slotting into the roof of the net following Kaoru Mitota's cross. After the game, hat-trick hero Trossard reflected on the point and his display.
He said: "Always nice when you can score especially three at Anfield, it's a shame we couldn’t get all three points. Maybe one way [the result was fair], I think we could have scored more but towards the end it was fair, but you always want more especially if you’re 2-0 up. Obviously it's a big game, you always want to show yourself in the best possible way. I'm happy with the team, we reacted brilliantly after we went down as well."
