Leaked: Here are some of the biggest changes coming to the new iPhone 15

As customers and Mac enthusiasts eagerly await the release of the all-new iPhone 15, rumors swirl about what might be in store for the next iteration of tech.

Apple (AAPL) -) famously keeps all information about future releases tucked tightly away under lock and key, but that doesn't stop experts and bloggers from sifting through thousands of tweets, clues, and potential leads to try and understand what we'll be getting ahead of its Sept. 22 launch date.

DON'T MISS: Apple issues a surprise iPhone danger warning

Earlier this summer, Apple bloggers and analysts had already gathered enough information to estimate what they believe were the future prices of the iPhone 15. Barclays analyst Tim Long predicted the following:

  • iPhone 15: $799 (unchanged)
  • iPhone 15 Plus: $899 (unchanged)
  • iPhone 15 Pro: Up to $1,099 (currently $999)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: Up to $1,299 (currently $1,099)

Long also predicted that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could include a new Telephoto lens with periscope technology and zoom capabilities of up to 5-6 times. Currently, iPhone 14 models can zoom to around 3 times.

New iPhone 15 predictions come to light

And now, less than a month out from the iPhone 15 launch date, more blogs are cropping up trying to gauge how different and revolutionary the new phone might be.

9to5 Mac predicts the new phone will charge quickly. Sources familiar with the industry told the blog that "at least some of the new iPhone 15 models can be recharged with up to 35W, which should enable even faster charging speeds on the new phones."

Current iPhone 14 models only support charging at 27W. The change means iPhones will be able to charge in approximately two hours, give or take.

Others are predicting the new iPhones may be able to charge via the new USB-C thunderbolt chargers, which is how many other Apple products (like its MacBooks and iPads) currently accept charge.

On the design front, those in the industry are predicting sleeker edges and – you guessed it – larger cameras.

"iPhone 15 models will feature a new design with slightly curved edges, while the camera bump will be larger and the display bezels thinner," the blog reports.

As always, the upper tier iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will receive a bulk of the upgrades as they will retail at the highest price points.

The Pro models are expected to receive an "action button," instead of the mute button most models have now.

They will also reportedly receive:

  • New A17 Bionic chip
  • New titanium frame
  • Upgraded cameras with periscope lens (iPhone 15 Pro Max only)

Another polarizing topic shrouded in mystery: iPhone colors. Currently, iPhone 14 comes in black, white, red, purple, yellow, and blue. One speculator told Forbes the new colors released will be white, black, yellow, purple, and orange or pink. Others argue gold or rose gold, a beloved former color, may make its return:

It's also speculated that each phone will come with its respective new braided and color coordinated charging cable to match. A braided USB charging cable is more durable and less likely to fray or cause other charging issues

It's worth noting that none of these rumors are actually confirmed by Apple.

Apple is expected to unveil iPhone 15 in mid-September.
