  • A new Xbox Game Pass tier will reportedly be tied to Discord Nitro
  • Leaks claim the "Starter Edition" tier will be offered as part of a Discord Nitro subscription
  • It will allegedly offer 50+ games, cloud gaming, and Xbox rewards

Xbox is reportedly planning to roll out a new Game Pass tier that will be bundled with a Discord Nitro subscription.

Earlier this week, after the company announced a price cut to Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma teased a new Discord partnership as part of an effort to "make Game Pass more flexible for our players."

While the official announcement has yet to be made, new leaks have claimed that the partnership will introduce a new Game Pass tier called "Starter Edition", which will be bundled with Discord Nitro.

That's according to a datamine posted on ResetEra (via VGC), which alleges that "Xbox Game Pass (Starter Edition) is now included with Nitro."

"Subscribe to Nitro and access Xbox Game Pass (Starter Edition), deals on gear, new Orbs perks, and so much more," one of the datamined text strings reads.

It's claimed that "50+ games like Stardew Valley, Fallout 4, and Grounded," will also be included in the bundle, as well as "10 hours of cloud gaming every month" for select titles, and Xbox Rewards.

"All yours with Nitro," the post reads. "Up to $25/year in the Store with Rewards."

The way things have been moving recently, Xbox could officially announce the details of its Discord partnership soon.

Elsewhere, it's claimed the company is reportedly also working on a new Game Pass plan that would allow users to choose the content of their membership.

This comes after Xbox cut the price of Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 per month to $22.99, and PC Game Pass from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. New Call of Duty titles will also no longer be day-one launch offerings.
