Fans who spent weeks verifying their Riot accounts and registering for the Fan First pre-sale on July 22 have missed out, with many complaining that — now that they’ve learned how the system works — they never really stood a chance in the first place.
When general admission tickets for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship finals at Barclays Center in Brooklyn went live on Ticketmaster, only a fraction of the venue’s capacity appeared in the sale — and those seats were gone almost instantly. Unsurprisingly, a few hours later the seats were listed on SeatGeek for as much as $3,200, roughly nine times their original face value of $120 to $350.
