Cork City will wear an all black strip against Sligo Rovers tomorrow in a move to help one of their players who is colour blind.
People who are colour blind find it difficult to identify and distinguish between certain colours, particularly red and green.
Cork City cannot wear their red away kit at the Showgrounds as hosts Sligo Rovers also play in red.
And the Rebels have ruled out donning their green home kit so that the player in question can avoid a green-red clash.
Mirror Sport understands that City will wear their black strip for all away games this season against teams who have predominantly red jerseys.
After defeats to Bohemians and Derry City in their opening games, City have bounced back with a win over UCD and a dramatic draw at Shamrock Rovers on Monday.
Colour blindness affects approximately one in twelve men in Ireland, and one in every one hundred women.
