Leading Scottish ice hockey club the Glasgow Clan is set to be sold to TDL Media.
A club statement on Friday confirmed a sale is nearing completion with Neil Black to hand over custodianship of the Viaplay Elite League team.
TDL Media will take over the club as a whole alongside the lease of the Clan's home venue at Braehead Arena.
Glasgow Clan finished eighth in the league this season missing out on the playoff semi-finals after a loss to Nottingham.
However, news has now emerged of the impending takeover by TDL Media - a family investment office specialising in media, tech, and entertainment industries.
A Glasgow Clan statement read: "Glasgow Clan, the leading Scottish ice hockey team today confirm that the club is nearing the end of a sale process which will see the Clan sold to TDL Media.
"Glasgow Clan finished eighth in the Viaplay Elite League and just missed out on the playoff semi-finals in Nottingham following a narrow 7-6 aggregate defeat to the Belfast Giants this past weekend."
TDL Media, led by principal Michael O'Rourke, boasts current majority ownership of sports broadcasters Premier Sports Ireland, Premier Sports Asia and W Sport.
The company also holds investments in virtual reality gaming experience brand Zero Latency and email communications firm Circulator.
TDL Media further hold minority positions in Future Ticketing - a ticketing software provider - MMA operator Cage Warriors and digital publisher Joe Media.
Mr O'Rourke said: "We look forward to completing the takeover of the Glasgow Clan and the lease of its home venue, the Braehead Arena.
"We have tremendous respect and admiration for the passion and support that exists around this great club. Over the coming years our objective is to put the Glasgow Clan in the best possible position to achieve success on and off the ice.
"We must thank, the owner Neil Black. If it were not for his vision in founding the Clan some thirteen years ago, along with his passion and commitment to the club, the Clan would almost certainly not exist and for that we will always be grateful."
Neil Black, owner and founder of the Glasgow Clan, commented: "The time is right to pass on the custodianship of the Clan. When I decided to explore the possibility of selling the club, there were many excellent interested parties.

"My main priority was to engage with someone I could pass this great club along to, who had the necessary resources and experience of the Sports & Entertainment market in the UK, who could grow the Clan Organisation and ensure its continuation for future generations.
"With this in mind, I believe that TDL Media who via their previous ownership of Premier Sports were great supporters of the Elite League and top flight Scottish Football & Rugby, are the right people to grow the Clan Organisation and I believe that they will not only be great custodians of the Clan but also a great addition to the Elite League as a whole."
The official statement added: "No further announcements will be made until the transaction to sell the club is completed."
