The leader of the SNP's North Lanarkshire group welcomed the party's National Campaign Battle Bus to the area.
Candidate for Bellshill Jordan Linden was joined by other would be-councillors and activists from across the authority - from Shotts, Murdostoun and Bellshill to Thorniewood and Coatbridge - to share the SNP’s council elections campaign message.
Mr Linden told Lanarkshire Live : “I was delighted to welcome the SNP’s National Campaign Battle Bus to North Lanarkshire and share our message across our communities.
"And our message could not be clearer; don’t vote for parties who are making false promises.
"These elections aren’t about cutting train and bus fares as Labour may have you believe, and they aren’t about stopping the SNP as the Tories want you to think.
"They are about electing local champions to work for you and defend local services, as well as sending Boris Johnson and his pals a message that the party is well and truly over, and they are crucially about taking action on the cost of living.
"So, whether you’re a postal voter or whether your casting your vote in person on Thursday, May 5, a different future is possible in North Lanarkshire."
