Glee actress Lea Michele has asked fans to send “love and strength” to her after her son was hospitalised.
The 36-year-old announced she would be taking a break from her Broadway show, Funny Girl, to be with two-year-old Ever as he battles a “scary health issue”.
Michele welcomed her son with husband Zandy Reich and occasionally shares snaps of him with fans on social media.
On Wednesday, she shared a small glimpse of the toddler to her Instagram Stories as she held his hand while he cuddled his stuffed animal.
Alongside the image, the Scream Queens star wrote: “I’m so sorry but unfortunately, I will be out of [Funny Girl] today.
“We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for. I’m so sorry. Please send us some love and strength.”
The TV star hasn’t provided any updates on her son’s health on social media since, but a number of her fans have sent their well-wishes for Ever on Twitter.
One wrote: “Sending loads of love and prayers to Lea Michele, Zandy Reich, and their baby boy Ever Leo. He’s not feeling well and is in the hospital.
“Please send them love and prayers and positive thoughts.”
“Sending lots of love to Lea Michele and her little boy Ever during this difficult time, he will get better soon,” another tweeted.
A third added: “Sending prayers and love to your baby boy”.
The stage star first began dating businessman Zandy Reich in 2017, before getting engaged in April 2018.
The two then wed in northern California in March 2019 and welcomed their son in August 2020.
Previously Michele revealed during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that one of the only two things she keeps in her safe includes a lock of her son Ever’s hair.
She shared in January: “The only thing I have in my safe is a letter from Barbra Streisand and my son’s [hair]; the first hair we cut from his haircut.
“So it’s my son’s hair and a letter from Barbra Streisand, and that’s where it’s gonna stay.”
