Le Milos held firm and came out on top for the Skelton's in the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Newbury on Saturday afternoon.
The seven-year-old was making his second start for the stable and was kept handy throughout, jumping well having started as the 9-2 favourite. Jockey Harry Skelton masterfully guided Le Milos to victory.
Having been priced at 7-1 last night, Le Milos came in considerably and was no less than 5-1 at all bookies before the race began.
They didn't have it all their own way however and really had to dig deep to get the win, leaving owner Dan Skelton ecstatic.
Ahead of the second-last he was able to take up the running as his rivals had fallen away, eventually prevailing from a tough battle to the line with the runner-up, David Pipe’s Remastered.
Pipe also saddled third-placed Gericault Roque, with Corach Rambler staying on for fourth.
