FORMER LBC host Sangita Myska has revealed how she "completely fell apart" after lawyers for the radio station "monitored" her social media following her dismissal.
Myska was removed from her hosting role with LBC in spring 2024 directly after a tense interview with Israeli government spokesperson Avi Hyman, who called her questions “outrageous” multiple times.
In an interview with Double Down News this week, Myska said that following that interview she was told she was "surplus to requirements".
She then went on to reveal how her employment contract contained agreements that stopped her from speaking about the details of her dismissal "forever", and how lawyers for parent company Global subsequently kept an eye on her social media.
She said: “I do that final interview with an Israeli spokesperson and I was told I was surplus to requirements, and what followed after that?
"Well, two things happened. I was ‘reminded’ of my employment contract. Now the original employment contract contains two things. It’s a confidentiality agreement and also a non-disparagement agreement, and these two things last in perpetuity.
"That’s right, folks. I’m not allowed to discuss what happened in the run-up to the events of my dismissal or afterwards, forever. The terms of that disparagement clause are so wide that almost anything I say can be interpreted as disparaging Global and LBC.
"At one point, I’ve never talked about this, the solicitors acting on behalf of Global and LBC told me they had been monitoring my social media and where I had liked tweets from people saying ‘we miss you and support you’, that was presented to my lawyers and the implied threat was 'if she carries on doing this, that’s a breach of contract'."
Clearly becoming emotional, she added: "I completely fell apart."
Elsewhere in the interview, Myska also alleged that fellow presenters at the station joined in with attacks on her online.
"These attacks on me only stopped in the June of 2025," she said.
"That's because I had to hire another set of lawyers and spend even more money on sending legal letters to LBC and Global, saying if they carry on like this I would take action."
She added that there had been "no settlement" in the case.
Myska also spoke about the "enormous" public backlash to her sacking, referencing how a petition calling for her reinstatement collected 30,000 signatures and how she had been comforted by the level of support she received.
"It was that level of public support that helped get me through what was extremely difficult," she said.
In March 2025, LBC host James O’Brien hit out at the allegations around her removal from the station, suggesting that Myska had remained silent on purpose to allow “slurs and antisemitic conspiracy theories” about her departure to develop.
In a post on social media the day after the O'Brien exchange, Myska said only: "Many of you have shown me immense kindness, support and understanding over the last 24 hours. Thank you x."
LBC’s parent firm Global Media has been approached for comment.
