Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor has been charged in Florida with failing to update his address on the state's sex offender registry, as per court records. The former New York Giants linebacker turned himself in to the Broward County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday and was subsequently released with no bail. Taylor pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony charge, marking the second time he has faced such an offense. In 2021, he attributed his failure to update authorities about an address change to a divorce.
In 2011, Taylor pleaded guilty in New York to misdemeanor sexual misconduct charges. Following this, he was sentenced to six years of probation and mandated to register as a sex offender. Throughout his illustrious 13-season career, Taylor remained with the New York Giants and played a pivotal role in the team's Super Bowl victories in 1987 and 1991.
