Hearts are weighing up a move to bring Lawrence Shankland back to Scotland.
The Beerschot star is on the wishlist of summer striking targets for the Scottish Cup Finalists.
Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson is also keen to work with Shankland again having enjoyed previous success with him previously at Dundee United.
Shankland hit 28 goals for Neilson’s side as he won his first Scotland call-up and helped fire United back into the Premiership.
Shankland moved to Belgium last season but his move hasn’t gone to plan as he has been played out of position and now his side have been relegated to the second tier.
Beerschot would be looking to recoup the majority of the fee they paid Dundee United to get the 26-year-old back in August.
Neilson and sporting director Joe Savage are looking to add in various areas of the Hearts’ squad.
John Souttar set to join Rangers on a free this summer, while the loans of Taylor Moore, Ben Woodburn, Ellis Simms and Alex Cochrane also expire at the end of the season.
Hearts are already actively working on targets.
Wolves midfielder Connor Ronan is one they are keen to do but Aberdeen and St Pauli are both interested.
