“Yeah, I Shot Your Dog”: Angie Harmon “Traumatized” After Instacart Driver Kills Family Pet

The dog and “beloved family member” of Law & Order actress Angie Harmon was killed on Easter weekend by a delivery man using a gun. The pet assassin has since claimed self-defense but has been called out by the actress for alleged lies.

On Monday (April 1), the 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram page to announce that Oliver, her darling mutt, was shot to death by an InstaCart worker at her family home in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

Alongside various heartbreakingly adorable pictures of the poor dog, Angie wrote: “This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver.”

InstaCart is an American delivery company based in San Francisco that operates a grocery delivery and pick-up service in the US and Canada, and it is accessible via a website and mobile app.

The actress continued: “He got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog.

“Our ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn’t being recorded.

“The police let him go b/c he claimed ‘self-defense.’

“He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn.

“He was shopping under a woman’s identity named Merle… the pic is on my story.”

Angie slammed the animal killer on her Instagram story, calling his actions despicable and inexcusable.

The Texan also highlighted his InstaCart profile, which shows him using the name Merle.

In the emotional post, Angie also wrote: “He shot our dog with my daughters & myself at home & just kept saying, ‘yeah, I shot your dog. Yea, I did.’

“We are completely traumatized & beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved boy & family member.

“#RIP OLLIE.”

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) told TMZ that the delivery driver in question did, in fact, claim self-defense on this matter.

They told TMZ: “The investigation revealed that a delivery driver arrived at the residence to deliver consumable goods.

“The driver told officers that a dog attacked him while he was at the residence and that he defended himself by firing a single gunshot, striking and mortally wounding the dog.

“Another dog was present at the residence but did not attack.”

CMPD reportedly said that no criminal charges have been filed over the incident, but CMPD’s Animal Control became embroiled in the situation and is seemingly not seeking out any other parties either.

InstaCart responded to Angie’s allegations, telling Bored Panda: “We were deeply saddened and disturbed to hear about this incident.

“We have no tolerance for violence of any kind, and the shopper account was immediately suspended from our platform.

Angie exposed the delivery man’s fake identity, as he used the name “Merle” and a picture of a woman on his profile

“We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with law enforcement on their investigation.”

Angie, who has been left heartbroken by the event, is an animal lover who has often showcased her interest in various species on social media.

She recently rescued an injured squirrel, nursing them back to health. Angie is also often photographed riding horses.

Angie’s announcement ignited many angered reactions from people sympathizing with the actress
