Law firm Bevan Brittan has recorded a tenth consecutive year of profit and revenue growth.
The national legal practice - which has its head office in Bristol - saw income rise to £67.3m during the year to April - up from around £60m in the previous 12 months.
Profit was up 7.7% year-on-year to £17m, with the business saying it had attracted “a number of significant new clients”.
During the period Bevan Brittan advised on the merger of Peabody and Catalyst, which created one of the UK’s largest housing associations. It also acted on deals within the social care sector, including Anavo Group’s partnership with Octopus Real Estate and Anchor’s acquisition of Halcyon Care Homes Topco Limited.
Bosses said the firm’s “consistently strong” financial performance meant it was in a position to move beyond organic growth, including mergers and bolt-ons, though added that any such deal would only be considered “if it is the right move for the business.”
Managing partner Duncan Weir said: said: “This is another strong performance that demonstrates the benefit of our investment in our existing markets and people; our new markets and people and the increasing strength and depth of our business.
“Exceeding £67m is a fantastic achievement, particularly given the challenging economic pressures we have navigated throughout the year.”
In May, Bevan Brittan said it had promoted 28 colleagues across its four offices, including five new partners, four legal directors, 10 senior associates and nine associates.
As well as its HQ on Queen Street in Bristol city centre, Bevan Brittan also has offices in London, Birmingham and Leeds.
