Lauren Goodger has said being a single mum ‘doesn't scare me' after the shock news she’s expecting her second child.
The 35-year-old welcomed her first baby, daughter Larose, in July last year, and she shares the tot with former boyfriend Charles Drury.
Lauren parted ways from the builder last year, and they recently reconciled, but model Amy Gilbert came forward to reveal details of a steamy fling she had with Charles, prompting the ex-TOWIE star to kick him out.
Lauren revealed in an interview with OK! magazine she’s expecting her second child - another daughter - with Charles, and the news came as a huge surprise to both of them.
She confessed she had delayed announcing the happy news as she was torn over what to do, and admitted she was suffering from “mum guilt” as she worried being pregnant again would have an impact on six-month-old Larose.
Despite splitting from Charles and kicking him out of her Essex home, she said things were still “up in the air” and they were still intending on co-parenting their daughters.
But no matter what happens, Lauren is determined to be the best mum she can to her two daughters.
“I’m being strong and getting on with it. I’m excited about having another baby and if I’m a single mum then great. I’ll raise two kids on my own and it’ll be rewarding,” she stated.
Lauren said she’s hoping that with the help of her mum - who has moved into her house to give the star an extra pair of hands - she can get through the “rocky time” and mend her broken heart.
“I’s been really hard for me. But I’ve got to focus on the pregnancy and the baby. I’m a very hands-on mum, it’s all on me, so it doesn’t feel much different,” she said, adding that Charles has “really hurt me” and she’s not sure what the future holds.
The star insisted that the builder will “always be” in their life, but she wants to put some strict boundaries in place, as during their last break up, he was at her house every day.
Lauren said having Larose has really changed her outlook on relationships, and said she’s “got to be mature” about her split from Charles so it doesn’t “disrupt” their baby daughter’s life.
“I focus on her and I don’t want to stress myself out because I’m pregnant,” Lauren explained, as she noted that single mums will “relate” to her now.
