Lauren Goodger's pals feels as though she's 'living in the past' after moving into the home she once shared with her late ex-boyfriend, Jake McLean.
The former TOWIE star, 36, recently went through a transformative period in her life, following her split from Charles Drury, and after moving out of their shared home in Essex, Lauren is now back in her previous home in Loughton.
The reality TV has faced much heartache this year with the tragic death of her baby daughter Lorena, followed by the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend Jake, who passed away following a horror car accident in Turkey.
Lauren also had to deal with the breakdown of her relationship from Charles after the pair lost their second child.
After selling her Essex home, Lauren is now back in her 'happy place' - the home that she once shared with ex Jake.
“Lauren is all settled into her home. It’s the house she shared with Jake when they were together,” a source shared.
"She wanted to be back there because it’s her happy place with lots of happy memories. She looks back on her relationship with Jake with fondness. She likes to think he’s looking down on her with her angel baby, Lorena," the insider added to OK! Magazine.
Although Lauren is reportedly in a good place since moving back to her former home, her friends are concerned that she may be holding onto the past more than she should be.
"Although Lauren is happy there, friends are concerned she might be living in the past a little bit. They want her to look to the future rather than take any steps back. Living in the house again will obviously remind her of Jake and they’re worried it could upset her."
Lauren dated fellow TOWIE star Jake for four years between 2012 to 2016.
At the time of Jake's tragic death at 33, Lauren paid tribute to her former flame in a heartfelt Instagram post.
"He will always be a part of me," Lauren penned.
Jake passed away in the car crash in Turkey in July which left his on-off TOWIE girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou in a critical condition.
The businessman died instantly when his Mercedes careered off the road, plunging 30ft down a ravine in Bodrum.
The Only Way is Essex star Yazmin Oukhellou was also in the wreckage and was forced to snap her own arm in a desperate bid to escape.
At the time of the crash, Yazmin and Jake were said to have been on holiday in Turkey, where Jake was thought to have been involved in a business deal.
The Mirror has reached out to Lauren's representatives for comment.
