Lauren Goodger is embarking on a new fitness journey, after a traumatic few months.
The former TOWIE star, 36, has experienced unimaginable tragedy this year, with the reality TV star having to process the passing of her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean during the final week of her pregnancy in July, then sadly losing her baby daughter Lorena just minutes after she gave birth in the days following the death of her ex.
On Tuesday [September 27], Lauren took to her Instagram Stories to open up to her 943,000 followers about her relationship with her body after having two babies 'back to back', as she posed in her underwear for a mirror selfie to reveal the early results of her new 'empowering' fitness routine.
The Essex native looked incredible as she displayed her postpartum figure in a pair of basic black knickers and a white crop top - captioning the progress snap: "It's ''ah' coming [bikini emoji]."
Lauren's latest social media update comes following her first personal training session in over two years last week, with the star sharing a video montage of her workout with her online fans and opening up about the process.
"Today I had my first PT session for over 2 years with @platinum_physiques & I loved every minute of it," she told her followers at the time.
"I thought I would struggle after having 2 babies back to back which changed my body shape completely but surprised myself with how much I enjoyed training again..
"I have lost some baby weight already but my body is still soft so this is the start of not just my fitness journey, but also the start of a new road to recover."
Lauren has suffered multiple tragic ordeals over recent months, most heartbreaking of all watching her second daughter Lorena die in hospital on July 8 - just weeks after she discovered ex-boyfriend Jake had died following a car crash in Turkey.
The former TOWIE star has since explained how doctors battled to save 9lb baby Lorena but she sadly passed away just minutes after she was born.
"They think her oxygen may have been restricted. That is why I am having an autopsy," Lauren explained from her Essex home last month. "I need to understand how she died for my own sanity."
Lauren recently put on a brave face for eldest daughter Larose's first birthday just weeks after the death of her second child, as she opened up about the traumatic experience of losing her baby just moments after giving birth.
"Lorena was a healthy baby and it was a textbook pregnancy," a grieving Lauren explained to The Sun from her Essex home last month. "They think her oxygen may have been restricted because she had two knots in her cord but normally babies can still get enough oxygen despite this."
