TalkSPORT presenter Laura Woods has claimed that Newcastle United should believe they can achieve Champions League football next season as they aim to continue their run in the top four this weekend against Southampton.
Eddie Howe's side have only lost once this season and sit just seven points off of league leaders Arsenal after 13 games and are a point ahead of Manchester United in fifth. Saturday's 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa continued their fantastic run of form, as they've scored four or more goals in three of their last six league matches, with five of those being wins.

Speaking on talkSPORT's Breakfast show this week, Woods said Newcastle are prevailing over their competition so far this season and need to stay determined past the World Cup in November.
"They should definitely have the belief. I don't know what's going to happen, no one knows what's going to happen and Manchester United are looking like they're putting everything together now, having a bit of a revival means there's going to be challenges for the top four.
"But with Liverpool falling away, Chelsea getting thumped by Brighton, it does feel like they could do it. I love the Premier League, I love that it feels like this each year, feels wide open for the top four at the moment.
"Spurs, Spurs won at the weekend and found a way to win against Bournemouth at the death - I still think that if you're Newcastle, you have to be ambitious and you have to still believe it's on."
