Love Island star Laura Anderson has opened up about starting fertility treatment to have a baby with beau Dane Bowers.
Laura, 33, and former Another Level singer Dane, 42, began dating in 2018 after meeting at a party in November 2017 and now live together in Dubai.
The former air hostess shot to fame on the fourth season of the ITV dating show, where she exited the villa as runner up with Paul Knops.
Since then, the Scots beauty has been living it up in Dubai with her Pomeranian, Buddy, and Dane - and now they wish to start a family.
Previously speaking to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, Laura said: "So I have a little bit of a different post for you today, story shall I say.
"Some of you might know that Dane and I have been trying to have a baby - and sort of come into a few obstacles. So we've been lucky enough to visit an incredible doctor the past few weeks and today set in motion our fertility plan if you'd like."
She added: "I'm going to be freezing my eggs initially and Dane's taking some medication. We're just super excited."
At the end of 2021, Laura told Vicky Pattison on her The Secret To podcast that she didn't want to undergo IVF.
She said: "Dane's like, 'we need to do IVF', and I'm like, 'I don't really want to.' I just never really thought that this would have to happen to me."
Speaking about how she's now come to terms with IVF, Laura said: "I was a little apprehensive to share this and initially to do IVF but I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to do this in this day and age.
"It's just incredible what doctors can do and absolute hats off to our doctor and the clinic we've been at."
She added: "They've just been amazing and made even this far what should be a really stressful experience, they have made it so enjoyable."
"'So I apologise in advance if I'm a bit crazy this week," she said. "But hopefully you can follow our journey, kind of step by step. I want to share it with you.
"I think it'll be good for me to get through it and if anyone out there is doing IVF or freezing their eggs - you know it's great thing to do if you're single - then hopefully we can share experiences together and get each other through it."
Laura previously spoke to OK! Magazine about where her and Dane's kids would grow up.
She told the publication: “I’m pretty easy, but Dane’s quite set on staying in Dubai. Work wise and stuff, if there were any opportunities that would have either of us in the UK for a longer period of time, then I feel like we can be quite flexible.”
She continued: “I’ve moved around before and I think it’s definitely doable, so I’m quite open minded. I could live anywhere.
"I’m happy with Dane and we’ve got quite flexible jobs, but I think for now, my sister’s here and I’ve got family and it’s really good for kids, so I’m quite happy to be [in Dubai].”
“I’m quite settled here, I’m not going to lie,” Laura added.
