'Graphic, profane' tweet to cost Latham more than $500k

A maverick MP will have to hand more than half a million dollars to a political rival over a social media post judges have labelled as intimidating and shocking.

Right-wing independent MP Mark Latham was found in September 2024 to have defamed Sydney MP Alex Greenwich in an explicit tweet during the 2023 state election.
