Ryan Mason was back in front of the press again just over 12 hours after Tottenham came from 2-0 down to draw with Manchester United. The result just about keeps Spurs in the hunt for the top four but a crucial game against Liverpool awaits.
The Reds are one point behind having played a game less but still trail Erik ten Hag's fourth placed United by seven points. Tottenham themselves are six points off the Champions League qualification places but have played twice more than the Reds Devils.
Brighton are still well in the mix too and are 11 points off United, five off Spurs, having played only 30 games. The result has put added jeopardy on Sunday's match, especially after a week of turmoil.

There had been a stage in which Spurs had conceded eight goals across three halves of football but Son Heung-Min and Pedro Porro kept their faint hopes of getting into the top four alive.
Ahead of Liverpool there are still a number of injury blows to contend with for interim boss Mason. "Hugo [Lloris] won't be available Sunday," he said.
The club captain went off at half-time against Newcastle and said of his own knock: "My injury does not sound good; I don't know if it's a muscle but around the hip when I kicked. It doesn't sound good." Mason himself explained: "Obviously had a muscle problem so we are still seeing how that is settling down. Time will tell."
Ahead of the trip to Anfield he also added: "The other injuries we're assessing day by day. The lads haven't trained yet so we're going to see how they're feeling in training this afternoon and also tomorrow leading into the game."
There were boosts for both Clement Lenglet and Ben Davies, both of who had been doubts heading into the game. Emerson Royal is awaiting his own potential return after suffering a knee injury last month. Meanwhile Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are still out.
The pair are both long-term absentees, as is Ryan Sessegnon.
