Latest Love Island recoupling breaks records as nine islanders reportedly dumped in 'explosive' scenes

Nine islanders have reportedly said their goodbyes after being booted from the Love Island villa by producers. As Casa Amor draws to an end, a record breaking number of contestants were sent home when the girls returned to the luxury South African villa from Casa Amor, according to reports.

According to The Sun, Bristol's very own bombshell Maya Jama, who jetted back to the South African sunshine on Monday (February 13) after a whirlwind weekend, entered the villa as the aftermath of Casa Amor began to unfold. After rampant cheating took place in both camps, the contestants were tasked with the decision of who to couple up with and who to dump.

The latest recoupling breaks previous records for the most islanders to be booted from the villa at once, with the highest number previously standing at six. A source told The Sun: "Reuniting the two villas was explosive - the recoupling will be a real shock."

The insider added: "The tension was off the scale - viewers will be really surprised as to who chooses who. It's an unmissable episode."

Last night's episode of the hit ITV2 reality show saw TikTok star Will heavily regret his decision to kiss Layla as he realised he wanted to be in his original couple with Aussie bombshell Jessie. The farmer confided to fellow islander Casey: "I think I'm actually falling in love with Jessie.

"I know what I did yesterday is going to let Jessie down, and that's what I do feel terrible about."

Will then sat down with Layla and explained to her how he felt, telling her that he was happy to keep on talking to her but felt that he had "cheated" on Jessie by kissing her. Meanwhile, things continued to heat up between other contestants as Kai, Tom and Olivia kissed Casa Amor bombshells Sanam, Lydia and Maxwell.

Tanya, who has been coupled up with Shaq since the first week of the ninth series, decided to put her feelings for the airport security officer to one side as she got closer with Martin. Talking about the newcomer in the Beach Hut, Tanya said: "It's so hard, he's on the same wavelength. It's almost too good to be true, so question marks."

After the pair shared flirtatious banter throughout the day, Tanya told her new flame that she needed more time to see if he really was the one for her, after previously telling Shaq that she loved him. She told Martin if they were "on the outside, I would've jumped on you already".

Later on in the show, Tanya kissed Martin in bed. Shortly after his partner locked lips with another man, Shaq, who has been sleeping on the day beds to avoid the new girls, was seen telling the boys in the villa that he would be "heartbroken" if she returned with somebody else.
