The coronavirus infection rate has gone up in one area of Greater Manchester. The weekly rates have fallen in the other nine boroughs, the latest figures show.
Stockport continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in the region. The borough recorded a rate of 97.2 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending May 13, according to the UK Health Security Agency.
The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 51.3 cases per 100,000 people. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 77.7 cases per 100,000 population.
The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 88.2 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 2,204 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on May 13.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 383 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 15 per cent in the last week. The infection rate is higher than the national average in two areas of Greater Manchester. It is lower than the national average in eight areas.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on May 8, a total of 268 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 105 fewer than the week before, a fall of 64%.
On Tuesday May 10, there were 9 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is eight fewer than a week earlier.

Deaths
In the week ending May 13, a total of 36 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 17 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 993,299 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 9,323 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Salford
The trend is down in Salford, where there were 214 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 13, which is 32 fewer than the previous seven days. That is down by 13 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Salford is 81.5 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Rochdale
There was a fall of five per cent in cases in Rochdale over the week ending May 13, and the infection rate is now 68 cases per 100,000 population.
Rochdale recorded 152 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is eight fewer than the previous week.
Manchester
Manchester saw a total of 434 cases in the week ending May 13, which is 76 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 15 per cent.
In Manchester, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 78.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Tameside
Tameside is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 61.2 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 139 cases recorded in Tameside, which is 70 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 33 per cent.
Bury
Bury recorded 157 coronavirus cases, which is 26 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Bury is 82.3 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 14 per cent week-on-week.
Trafford
In Trafford, the latest infection rate is 85.4 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 19 per cent.
A total of 203 people tested positive for Covid in Trafford over the seven days ending on May 13, which is 49 fewer than the week before.
Wigan
There were 310 positive tests over the last week in Wigan, which is three fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Wigan is down by one per cent and the latest infection rate is 93.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Stockport
In Stockport, there were 286 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 13, which is three more than the previous seven days.
Stockport has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Stockport is down slightly compared with the previous day but the week-on-week trend is up by one per cent.
Oldham
Oldham, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 122 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 13, which is 40 fewer than the previous seven days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Oldham is now 51.3 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 25 per cent week-on-week.
Bolton
In Bolton, the number of cases is down by 30 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 64.9 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 187 positive Covid-19 tests in Bolton in the week ending May 13, which was 82 fewer than the previous seven days.
