Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma is closing in on a move to Tottenham after it looked like a move to Everton was on the cards.
Nottingham Forest were one of the clubs said to be showing an interest in the 25-year-old this January after it became apparent that he would be available on loan. He was allowed to travel to England to sort out his future earlier this month.
Danjuma now looks set to return to the Premier League just 18 months after leaving Bournemouth for Villarreal. The forward has scored six times in 17 appearances for the Spanish club this season.

It looked as if the player would be moving to Goodison Park , with some reports even claiming that he had completed a medical at Everton. However, as reported by football.london , Tottenham have made a late move for Danjuma and he is now set to undergo a medical with the North London club.
Tottenham, along with Forest, Bournemouth, Villa and Everton were among the clubs to originally be credited with an interest in the player in January. It seems that the former’s hijack of a move to Everton has paid off.
With Danjuma’s future looking to be sorted, it means that Forest and the other interested clubs can now move onto other targets. Steve Cooper is keen to add to his squad before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking last week, the Forest boss said that the club are looking to do more business before the end of the window after the loan arrival of striker Chris Wood from Newcastle.
"I don’t know. I can’t put an exact number on it,” Cooper said . “We are definitely trying to do some things - we are going to need some things.
“If some of it comes off, great. If not, then I’ll continue to work with the players who are in the building every day, try to get the best out of them and help them get the best out of themselves. We’ll keep preparing for games in the way we do, and hope that’s enough when the games come around.”
