Iconsiam is hosting a series of exhibitions, cultural activities and creative showcases highlighting the timeless beauty of Thai textiles, fine arts, traditional craftsmanship and local wisdom throughout this month.
Held as a tribute to HM Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, the celebrations start with "Siri Khattiyakassatriya: The Beloved Heart Of The Nation" which brings together paintings, sculptures, printmaking, traditional Thai arts and 3D digital works by national artists and distinguished contemporary artists.
The exhibition conveys profound gratitude for the immeasurable royal benevolence of the late Queen Mother, whose lifelong devotion to the nation, Thai arts and culture and the well-being of the Thai people has left an enduring legacy. It's running at Thara Hall, Walk Way and Arts Way on M floor, until tomorrow.
The appeal of Thai textiles and handicrafts will be portrayed during "Legacy Of Thai Textiles & Fashion", which will feature more than 100 outstanding works from 10 model communities at Charoen Nakhon and Thara Hall on M floor, from Aug 11-13.
Developed through collaborative efforts among community entrepreneurs, designers, stylists and fashion experts, the creations range from formal attire to everyday lifestyle fashion, demonstrating the versatility and modern relevance of Thai textiles.
The next highlight is "Threads Of Legacy: S'Craft 2026", the latest collection of 88 limited-edition Thai textile bags made from exceptional handwoven fabrics by master artisans and award-winning textile weavers. Highlight of the collection is the Vichit Rattana Exclusive Collector's Edition comprising four boxy bags in ruby, navy, onyx and grey.
The collection will be displayed and available for purchase at S'Craft at Thara Hall from Aug 11-13 and then at Iconcraft, 4th floor, from Aug 14-31.
Currently running at Iconcraft on the 4th and 5th floor, as part of this royal tribute, is "Thai Textile Heroes 2026" which showcases the beauty and spirit of handwoven textiles, expressed through cultural heritage, artistic passion and creative vision by the true heroes of Thai craftsmanship. The exhibition will wrap up on Aug 31.
At the same venue, visitors can witness award-winning textile and fabric creations from the "Cultural Textile Awards 2026" project from Aug 10-14 and get to learn the origins, concepts, objectives and significance of the "Thai Fabrics Are Fun To Wear" initiative launched by HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya in an exhibition of the same title from Sunday to Aug 31.
The Thai Textiles Trend Book Spring/Summer 2027 created under this royal initiative will be launched on Aug 11 and an accompanying exhibition will be open to the public on the same day until Aug 14, at Suralai Hall, 7th floor.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to witness valuable plant species that have been bestowed with royal names such as Queen Sirikit Rose, Cattleya Queen Sirikit Orchid, Queen Sirikit Lotus and Dona Queen Sirikit during the floral exhibition, "Her Majesty The Queen's Blossoms", at Wattana Hall, 3rd floor, from Aug 11-16.
