Pitt looked as if it had the Sun Bowl won … then it didn’t.
UCLA looked like it was going to absorb a loss on Friday and then had the lead.
Finally, the Panthers launched an improbable drive that led to a Ben Sauls field goal, which gave Pitt a 37-35 victory over the Bruins.

Sauls’ field goal with four seconds left concluded a six-play, 46-yard drive after UCLA took the lead at 35-34 with 34 seconds left.
The Bruins’ TD came without starting QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who was out with a back injury.
Reserve Ethan Garbers led a 70-yard drive to give UCLA the lead.
The Bruins had a 28-14 advantage in the third quarter but saw Pitt score 20 straight points.
