Today is the final day the £150 disability cost of living payment will be paid by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Over six million people who receive certain disability benefits have been receiving their one-off cash sum since June 20 with the DWP spreading the payments out over the course of a two-week window.
The final few yet to receive their payment should get it today.
At the end of June, the DWP said that six million people had already received their cash - this was the majority of people eligible to claim it.
If you haven't received yours yet then you shouldn't worry as you have until midnight tonight to receive it.
It should also be noted that a small proportion of payments will also be made after today.
This will be to those who were still awaiting confirmation of their eligibility or entitlement to disability benefits on April 1.
Who gets the disability cost of living payment?
In order to be eligible for the disbility cost of living payment, you must have been claiming a qualifying benefit on April 1 2023.
The qualifying benefits are:
- Disability Living Allowance
- Personal Independence Payment
- Attendance Allowance
- Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment
- Constant Attendance Allowance
- War Pension Mobility Supplement
If you were getting a qualifying benefit from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and a qualifying benefit from DWP, you will get a disability payment from the DWP only.
What do I do if I haven't received the cost of living payment?
Before you report your payment as being missing you should double-check that you definitely haven't got it.
The payment reference on your bank statements will appear with the code "DWP COL" along with your National Insurance number.
The money is paid separately from your normal benefits so you will not receive it as part of that payment.
If you haven't received your cost of living payment by midnight tonight and you are not waiting for confirmation on your entitlement, then you can contact the DWP.
The DWP said: “You will be able to report a missing disability cost of living payment from 5 July, 2023.
"Do not contact us before then as we will not be able to take any action.”
If the deadline passes with no payment, you can fill out a form on the Government website to raise the issue.
You can report your missing cost of living payment here.
The DWP has previously said you should not report your missing payment more than once.
