Las Vegas Strip casino signs superstar singer for residency

The Las Vegas Strip's headliner showrooms attract some of the biggest names in entertainment for residencies and shorter engagements.

Caesars Entertainment's  (CZR)  venues feature major performers like Adele at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Donny Osmond at Harrah's Showroom, Shania Twain at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, and Wayne Newton at Bugsy's Cabaret at the Flamingo.

MGM Resorts International  (MGM)  theaters feature residencies with Santana at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay; or Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars or Maroon 5 at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

At the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas  (WYNN) , Lionel Richie, Tom Jones, Brad Paisley, New Edition, Nas and John Fogerty bring their residencies in 2024 and 2025.

Apollo Global Management  (APO)  last year opened one of the newest entertainment venues on the strip when it brought in global superstar Kylie Minogue to unveil its Voltaire at the Venetian for 20 shows that began in November 2023 and ended in May 2024.

Voltaire followed up Minogue's residency by signing superstar singer Christina Aguilera to a new residency, which began with New Year's holiday shows Dec. 30-31, 2023, and continued in January, February, March, April, May, June, and August.

Superstar R&B star Jason Derulo signed up for a 12-show residency at Voltaire in May, June, July and August, followed by a new 44-show residency by International Queen of Burlesque Dita Von Teese which runs from September through Dec. 22, 2024.

The newest Las Vegas Strip hotel-casino Fontainebleau opened its BleauLive Theater on Dec. 30-31, 2023, with superstar singer Post Malone as the first performer at the theater.

The hotel-casino also booked Third Eye Blind for one show in June, Hootie and the Blowfish for two shows in August, Smashing Pumpkins for one show Sept. 27, Jennifer Hudson for two shows Dec. 21-22, 2024, and Heart for two make-up shows Feb. 28-March 1, 2025.

More Las Vegas Strip:

Fontainebleau was building a reputation of signing up headliners for one or two shows with no long-term residencies scheduled. It also booked 1980s "Shout" singers Tears for Fears for three shows Oct. 30, Nov. 1 and 2.

As the hotel-casino finishes its first year of operation, it finally signed up a significant residency with country star Keith Urban booking Fontainebleau's BleauLive for five nights between Oct. 4-12 and another five shows Feb. 14-22.

Fontainebleau might finally be hitting its stride in booking some longer term residencies, along with its short-term headliners, as it signed up a major star for shows in 2024 and 2025.

Superstar hip-hop sensation Pitbull returns to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time since before the Covid-19 pandemic with his eight-show engagement "Vegas After Dark The Residency" at BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

The "Feel This Moment" singer opens the residency Nov. 8-9 and continues Jan. 24-25, March 7-8 and March 14-15 at BleauLive. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and ranged from $79 to $650 for tickets in the front row center Section 104 during the presales.

Pitbull last performed on the Strip at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas on his "Time of Our Lives" residency from September 2015 through May 2019.
