LAS saw record number of 999 calls for serious injuries in December

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) recorded more 999 calls in December for patients with the most serious illnesses and injuries than any other month in its history, it was revealed on Thursday.

Paramedics and call handlers in the capital are grappling with an “extraordinarily challenging” winter period amid a surge in flu and other seasonal viruses.
